How to Use Giani Granite

You can learn how to use Giani Granite from this article. Make sure you keep your attention to this!

Before you learn how to use Giani granite, make sure you have prepared the surface of your countertops and tape off it all before starting using your Giani granite. You don’t need to sand your countertops. Simply use scouring pads like SOS or Brillo to remove all the dirt, grease and wax. You can’t use any other cleaners. To remove all cleaner residues you can rinse with water and cloth at least twice. Then you need to protect the edge of your countertop using Frog tape. This is to stop bleed through on walls and cabinets. Then you can start applying the Giani granite.

You can roll on the primer. You should know that to apply primer, it should be in small portion, about three foot sections. This is for the sections to be still wet when they overlap. After that you can shake and stir the can well. You can then use the foam brush to paint an arrow, half-inch wide strip at the top and bottom of your backsplash. After that, you can use the roller to apply a thin coat of Primer to countertop. Then you can immediately “back roll” the entire section you just painted once or twice.

And to back roll, you can simply roll back over the section with light, slow, end-to-end rolls. After that, you can roll the primer onto your backsplash without re-wetting the roller because it ensures a thin coat. Then you can move onto the next section by blending the overlapping together while they’re wet. And then you should clean foam brush after using and throw away the used roller.

You can then sponge the minerals onto your countertops. After Primer dries for 8 hours, you can practice the Mineral step on your included Practice Board. This is when you may choose to apply the Minerals one right after the other in small sections. Or you may apply one Mineral at a time over the entire top, allowing each to dry before applying the next color. Then you can practice both methods to determine your preference. Remember that you don’t have rinse out the sponge between colors. Then you can dab lightly and frequently to gently blend in the colors.
