You need to prepare things like Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), circular saw, box of nails (at least 25), about 1-inch long, carpenters glue, measuring tape, 3 hinges with accompanying screws, handle, paint in color of your choice and paint brush.

First, you can decide on a measurement for your storage locker for your child. Typically, you can find most storage lockers are about 3 feet high, 2 feet wide and 2 feet deep. This is when you can make this as big as you would like depending on your child's space needs.

Second, you can start measuring and cutting the MDF board to create the two sides and the back of the locker. You can then use these three parts measured in the same measurement.

Third, you can then measure and cut the MDF board to create the top and bottom of the locker. You should make these two parts in the same measurement.

Fourth, you can then arrange the two sides of the locker parallel on the floor by placing glue on two sides of the MDF board, where it will meet the two sides. Then you can place the back panel flat, in between the two sides and push the two sides in so that all three sides are firmly together.

Fifth, you can also place a strip of glue on both the top and bottom of each side by placing the top and bottom pieces in place, pressing firmly to be sure each piece sticks well to the glue.

Sixth, you can nail in several nails to both the top and bottom of the locker, along where the ends meet each other. Then you can also nail in several nails along the side to help keep the backing in place.

Seventh, you need to measure the width and height of the remaining side of your locker (where the door will be placed). Then, you should measure and cut the MDF board to match this width and height to create your door. Then you can lay the door across the opening and install three hinges to one side of the door and the locker itself. And then paint the structure in the desired color.
